College Introduction
Vision: To become an institution that provides high-quality science and technology education

Mission: To cultivate a new generation of creative and technological literacy

Founded in 2003, the Hong Kong Institute of Robotics is a pioneer in local technology education, dedicated to nurturing a new generation of creative and technological literacy. Over the years, he has focused on the development of robotics education courses, leading students to explore the four major areas of STEM education: science, technology, engineering and mathematics. He has accumulated rich teaching and training experience and has provided relevant courses for more than 100 primary and secondary schools.

The college provides high-quality science and technology education, which has been recognized by both professional institutions and the government. The college was awarded the "ISO9001:2015 Quality Management Certification" issued by Hong Kong General Notary Company, confirming that the robotics and STEM courses designed and offered by the college, as well as related educational products developed by the college, have excellent management results and continue to develop high-quality education. At the same time, the college was invited by the Education Bureau in 2018 to be responsible for editing a total of four units of "Junior High School "Robot" Learning Resources", which has now been completed and released for use by the academic community.

The college is rooted in Hong Kong, has an international perspective, has close ties with educational institutions around the world, and is close to the trend of technology education. Since 2011, the college has been accredited as the International Examination Center of the University of Cambridge, and offers ICT and mathematics courses to provide examination and assessment services. At the same time, the college spares no effort to encourage young people to participate in robotics competitions, including holding local competitions and ROBOFEST robotics contest Hong Kong trial, students have the opportunity to exchange ideas and gain knowledge with local and international young people.

"Dare to verify the space for students' creative potential"

It is not difficult to make a robot. It is not difficult to build a mechanical model from simple and small building blocks to perform different tasks and execute instructions, as long as students learn to write programs. Our course instructors will set different difficult and challenging tasks according to the level of students. The purpose is that in the process, students not only learn the knowledge of mechanical structure and operation, but also hope to cultivate students' learning attitude that is willing to learn and dare to seek proof. It is hoped that students can improve their ability to solve problems and enhance self-confidence through different levels of tests. When leading students to participate in the competition many times, the participating students need to find partners to form a team, so the spirit of teamwork is especially important. In the learning process, we saw the students learn to do things seriously, discuss with the group members, and at the same time let them learn the communication skills with others, so as to change the growth and development of the students.

In today’s information-developed society, students have more ways to collect data and information related to robots. As a tutor, we can teach them some R&D skills at the beginning, and at the same time provide equipment kits for them to develop model works. Hope they have the opportunity Get in touch and try, because students are able to learn independently and solve difficulties in the process. This joy and achievement is also their greatest joy in learning robot production!
